David Shive
Golden Gov: Federal Executive of the Year
David Shive oversees GSA’s IT operations and budget, aligning technology services with the agency’s work supporting the rest of the federal government. One of the government’s most experienced CIOs, he previously led GSA infrastructure and systems organizations and served as a CIO in the District of Columbia government. At GSA, his responsibilities extend beyond internal operations because the agency provides platforms and services used by federal partners. Shive’s leadership has supported cloud adoption, digital service delivery and shared technology.
