Lt. Gen. Melvin “Jerry” Carter serves as the Marine Corps’ senior adviser on the information environment. As deputy commandant for information, he helps guide the service’s approach to intelligence, cyberspace, communications and information warfighting, and represents those priorities across the Navy and defense enterprise.
