Sean Gallagher

Sean Gallagher leads NASA’s IT organization, which delivers a broad portfolio of services to more than 60,000 users in the United States and abroad. Before becoming CIO, he served as deputy CIO for operations and helped implement a more effective agencywide technology operating model. Gallagher also led IT at NASA’s Glenn Research Center, supporting its research, engineering and test missions. That progression gives him experience with both the agency’s enterprise needs and the specialized work at its centers. As CIO, he is responsible for dependable, secure technology that enables NASA personnel and international partners to carry out exploration, science and aeronautics missions.
