After 50 years, the General Services Administration’s annual Interagency Resource Management Conference, otherwise known as IRMCO, is no more – at least in the form as we know it, GSA Associate Administrator for Governmentwide Policy Kathleen Turco tells FedScoop.
Turco said IRMCO, traditionally a multi-day conference set outside the Beltway (although last year’s conference was held inside the District), will be replaced by the 2012 Acquisition Excellence Conference. The event will be held March 29 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington and GSA is partnering with The American Council for Technology – Industry Advisory Council on the event.
“The plan is to tackle some really big acquisition issues that CAOs, CIOs and CFOs are facing,” Turco said.
Turco also talked about her office’s development of a strategic plan and how trust and cybersecurity plan a part in that as well as the agency’s development of a integrated acquisition environment.
