The departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs recently released imrpovements to eBenefits, a joint, self-service web portal that allows service members and veterans to access benefits information.
According to the American Forces Press Service, the new version allows for easy navigation of the online disability compensation claim submission process using a new interface. Users can also pre-populate the application with information from a veteran’s record in VA’s secure database.
“The increasing capabilities of eBenefits give veterans and service members greater flexibility in securing the information they are looking for,” said Allison Hickey, the undersecretary of veterans affairs for benefits.
